Polo for Heart

Colour Innovations is a proud sponsor of Polo for Heart and Polo for the Cure

Polo for Heart is an annual three-day charity event held at the Toronto Polo Club in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Originated by Col. Michael Sifton at the Toronto Polo Club, Polo for Heart has raised more than $3.5 million for heart disease and stroke research since 1979. The proceeds of Polo for Heart 2008 went toward the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario’s program which supports the placement of life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in communities throughout Ontario.

Polo for the Cure

In August 2008, six women’s polo teams from clubs across Ontario gathered at the Toronto Polo Club to play in the second annual Polo for the Cure tournament. This event, a fundraiser for women’s breast cancer research, was the brainchild of Toronto Polo Club members Keri Weir and Donna Mallory. Positive feedback has been tremendous and an even bigger event is planned for next year.
