Cosmopolis Toronto by documentary photographer Colin Boyd Shafer was featured in The Toronto Star.
Printed by Colour Innovations, Cosmopolis features photographs of 195 people from all over the world who now call Toronto home. Each Torontonian revealed to Shafer where they feel most at home in the city and what prized possession most connects them to their past.
“When I came up with the idea I didn’t know if it would work,” Shafer told the Star. “Now there are 195 people in the book, and I wouldn’t have done it any differently.”
The cover of Cosmopolis was printed on an 11-colour, 40-inch Heidelberg sheet-fed perfector press, the text on an HP Indigo 7800 digital press.
Photos and stories from the project will be on display during an exhibition presented by Myseum Toronto this fall.
Colour Innovations is proud to have been a part of bringing Cosmopolis Toronto to life.
